Too many mods perhaps???....
Heyy, so... for a long time sims 4 hadn't been working and i had no idea why, so i took out all my cc and updated it, and then it worked, so i thought it was safe to play and added some more cc because you can never have too much cc right? well idk, because my game refuses to start up now, But whenever i put half of the amount of the cc i have in , it does just fine, and just before all that, my sim couldn't leave her apartment for some reason??? like it'd load up the little tab where u could pick to travel with, but after it wouldn't send them off?? I dont know if that was just me, or a bug in the game. Also, whenever i put in all my cc, it wont work AT ALL. Again, idk if its me or EA but like I needa get this ♥♥♥♥ TOGETHERRR. ASAP.

It’s your mods. Some of your mods are broken and you need to find it.
You just answered your own question OP. You indicated when you put in 1/2 your mods, the game was working. Then it wasn't after adding the 2nd half.

That literally told you where the "bad" mod(s) were located. You're going to have to do a brute force golden rule search on your mods folder.

Divide your mod folder in half and launch the game with that. Verify that your save game launches OK. Rinse and repeat with the 2nd batch of mods.

Hopefully you'll be lucky again to have picked the working/updated mod batch which let you launch the game previously. In which case, you'll immediately know where to focus your troubleshooting.

Keep doing this golden search method and halfing the bad mods folder until you isolate the outdated/corrupted mods.

TBH you may want to consider doing this one mod at a time. Try to alphabetize your mods by filename (or group/order them by name of mod creator). Then go systemically down that list downloading and updating EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Keep an eye on the most important ones like the script based ones which have a global effect on gameplay. For example, mods like MCCC and WW.

Also MAKE SURE IF THEY'RE SCRIPT MODS, THAT THE *I.ts4script FILE IS ONLY ONE FOLDER DEEP IN YOUR MODS FOLDER. e.g.

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\*.ts4script

OR

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\ScriptMods\*.ts4script

Otherwise, its mod associated *.package file WILL NOT WORK and could cause the issues you're seeing.

It's going to be a bit of work. But take the time to be diligent and you'll eventually resolve the bug.

You can also try betting Better Exceptions by Mexi and seeing if it can narrow down what your outdated or broken mods are. I find it's normally pretty good (and at times better than MC at pinpointing the issue).
