New Event does not show up in my game.

Mentioned by Lilsimsie, SatchonSims, and Pixelade from recent videos, but this so called event where you have to log in for limited time rewards does not show up in my game and I am confused by this. Also, just so people are made aware of this I am not subscribed to EA Play as to maybe the only explanation why I do not see it and under the impression this might be locked behind a subscription where I might also be wrong about this being locked behind EA Play, but need confirmation. Both Pixelade and Lilsimsie for example are perhaps subscribed to EA Play as well if I am not mistaken in addition to SatchonSims.

So I watched Lilsimsie's video (but I am not sharing video and it is a little long for 27 minutes) and apparently she does not have the limited time event yet, but she did notice a filter for event rewards.

Also, I hate the idea of limited time events for a number of reasons even if I could participate in the event. The reasons include not everyone plays The SIms 4 every day, once they are gone they are gone forever besides getting them from Simisboy, and some people might share this stuff on the gallery but you cannot have them because of not unlocking it from limited time event.

Yeah, FOMO in a single player game is stupid. All in all, I think is just to make their costumer ready for Rene, which should release mobile and PC. We all know mobile market works differently and I am sure they want that we costumer are more ready to accept this ****.

It has to be and there is on other explanation as to why in preparation for Project Rene which is probably coming out officially 2026 (but unclear as to when during that year) if I had to take a guess. Many people in the comment sections of these recent videos mentioned that The SIms 4 seems to be increasingly more similar to mobile just The SIms mobile and The Sims freeplay where apparently micro transactions are worse on those games than The SIms 4.

I agree with you and downloading linked pack is the easiest way to get this stuff. Also, I tested build mode recently and noticed something new similar to Lilsimsie with a new filter for event rewards. However, what is strange is that I do not see a filter yet for event rewards with CaS. (Edit) Event reward filter does show up, but only for the head section (hair, jewelry, and etc...) and not the body section.

I checked just now and the event still does not show up yet from main menu, but I think that the event has already started even though it does not show up in my game yet. I suspect the reason why the event is not showing up yet is because we will have to wait until May 30th when the event actually shows, because May 30th is also the same day for when these kit packs come out as well.

New event now shows up, but I was correct about it not showing up until today. I do not know how frequent these events are going to take place however and cannot imagine them taking place every month either. I think that the requirement might be only for logging in instead of needing to work for getting them.

It showed up for me too. Only time will tell. if this is a one time thing or how often they will come. I have a hard time thinking that stuff like this. is going to be each month.

My main criticism here besides what I mentioned earlier is at least some of this stuff is actually nothing new. Just recolors from stuff that we already have from other packs especially with week one and week two. The recoloring part would not be needed if The Sims 4 had a color wheel instead of it being limited to only just werewolves and pets. Dartboard for example is from Get Together, hair is from Cats&Dogs, and moon necklace is from Werewolves. (Edit) Also, even the vending machine is not new as last reward, because it is from High School Years while mini fridge is included in other packs and nano garbage bin is basegame but with other colors.

In case no one has mentioned it, MODS can stop the pop up from working. I don't know what kind, I didn't care to test it, but taking out my mods folder prompted the pop up. So if you see the new little announcement when you load the game, but clicking it does nothing and no pop up shows, you might have mods conflicting with it (I can only assume it's MC or something from Mexi since I don't have anything else that could possibly count at UI related. And if my CAS items are somehow doing it I might need to cry, lol).
