How to remove creepy doll?

I bought the paranormal pack and now I have a creepy doll sitting on my bed. Does my sim need a specific mood to remove it? Because when I try I get the "I can't get to it" symbol. I have my sim in very confident mood now, and there is room enough to walk, and when I click on the doll it says: remove doll, but nope...

Have you tried going into build mode and pick it up so you can put it into the household inventory? I sometimes have to do that with dirty dishes that float in the air or that my Sims cannot reach.

Sometimes having room enough to walk doesn't seem to work. I've had to move around the bed for the first kid in my Sims family because from one second to the other, she wouldn't be able to reach it, and in my second household, the inhabitants keep giving me the "can't get to it" symbol when I want them to store food in the fridge, no matter how much space they have.

@Jehane Yes I tried the build mode. Didn't work! I think maybe the mood is an issue, because when you are scared the option "remove doll" isn't available. I could try removing the bed complety or something like that, but I really just would like to know hoe to remove the doll properly...

I often have the "can't get to it" issue with the cross stitching from the farm pack. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... :/ Would be nice not to have those bugs in the game!!!

It does make sense that your Sim can't remove the doll if they are scared but if it's tied to the mood, it should be removable once your Sim is super confident.

The "can't get to it" can be really annoying, especially when it worked before and then all of a sudden doesn't any longer. That second household of mine was able to store their dishes in the fridge, just like they were supposed to, then, all of a sudden, they were like "Nope, can't get there". I put the fridge in another place - same result.

Paranormal is by far my favourite Stuff Pack. Whatever Maxis team developed it had done a marvellous job of this one.
Sadly, each and every update since seems to present players with more bugs related to the pack..no less almost every other pack. I've encountered two PS bugs, and there's yet no workaround for the latest pack breaker.

Your problem isn't one I've found anywhere. So I'm wondering about mods/cc in this case. Have to ask, do you use any?

My advice would be to move the bed, or move the doll onto the floor. I think these items are only supposed to spawn on the floor, at least in all my games I never had one spawn on my bed.

@soevreigndark I love it too so far/the longer I play it! :) I use moveobjects, so maybe it has something to do with that... I vanquised another one that was sitting on the floor of the living room, so it can be done, but just not the one on the bed...

@jehane It worked with another one on the floor in the living room... Honestly didn't really look at his mood, was to exited about vanquishing the doll... Bed, still no succes...

@nost I tried that, didn't work! It doesn't want to leave the bed! Maybe if I remove the bed completly though... Haven't tried that yet. Next plan of action!

(Probably) Stupid question, but how do you end up with that doll anyway? I have the paranormal stuff, but haven't tried the seance yet or the paranormal investigator career, so I'm assuming the doll is linked to either of those?

Neither, it just appeared, very early on, in my mansion. Probably to spook away my sims. By sitting near, sims get scared and that's a very annoying trade... :/ Not sure if the candles that should lessen that, do any good really. But I solved the problem! I removed the bed completly and, though it was still floating, I could now kick it and make it go away! :D
I want to start the carreer soon! Seance not so much either yet, but more of the other stuff to keep the house, the ghosts and spectres happy. All takes a lot of energy though... :/

Totally understandable that the Sims get scared; dolls are amongst the scariest things ever :D So your Sims live in a haunted house? That must be stressful for them... but it sounds like fun :D

The pack allows for you to put that trade on your house in building mode, so... Why not take part in the whole experience! ;D If you haven't put that trade on your building, then that's maybe the reason you didn't get the dolls?! I must admit, I first bought the castle kit (I love buildiing) and then my boyfriend said, why not also get the paranormal pack (after seeing my castle) and lucky me, it was sale! :) I never buy outside sale, so... I'm on my second castle now. The first one was to big! Took my sims way to much time to walk to everything in the house. And yes, to be able to build the way I enjoy I use moveobjects as mod and when I'm done building I use a money cheat to buy it... But that keeps it fun for me...

I haven't put that trait on the current house, no - not yet :) But it makes a lot of sense to do that for a castle. Is the castle kit worth it?

Yes! It's definitly worth it! I also got the goth kit (also worth it if you like that style), so I could create a "Adams Family" :D Turned out pretty good with the adults so far!
