This is a solid line for everyone.
My other half works in IT, and he explained me that many features get pushed from above and this people are far away from reality. His team always need to protect their customers if this people again have such a wonderful idea. Sometimes they can’t and the customer gets angry, then they lose money and make a surprised pickachu face. Of course, they never realize their idee is stupid, even after such a backlash. Its always rather *You implement it wrong! The mob is too stupid to see the benefit of it!*
For Rent has finally received some significant fixes, but the basegame seems to be overall worse apparently after update than before update especially with the new shopping cart button. Contrary to "sexual orientation" and "pronouns" that at best is controversial (meaning that some do not like them, but some people might like them as well), I think it is safe to assume that this new shopping cart button is something that most people can agree upon is unnecessary. Is EA afraid of The Sims 4 dying even though basegame is free, EA is a billion dollar industry, and mostly just single player besides the gallery? Even though For Rent was not well received when it first came out that should not be the only reason for adding shopping cart to basegame.
Ah, the classic EA move. As they released EA APP lot of people got timed banned because they had/have still issue with the APP, and of course this people were frustrated.
I am sure they will come up with *We heard your feedback; we removed the pulsing effect. Happy shopping and grab the new DLC in your game! Just click on the button!*
That 700 number seems like a lot until you factor in that millions of people probably still play The SIms 4.
James, not all people have the shopping card button, and many simmers just don’t complain and abandoned the game. Neither I nor you, or Angela know how many are the guinea pig of this shop button.
Even if I had waited to buy For Rent I would not have clicked on this shopping cart icon. As for this next upcoming stuff pack even then I will not click on the shopping cart icon even if I do buy this stuff pack. If EA were to include this shopping cart why wait until now rather than include it when The Sims 4 first dlc (Outdoor Retreat) or shortly before the first expansion pack (Get to Work) came out? It is way too late now to add a shopping cart icon on The SIms 4.
If I guess it was because Sims 4 had already a bad reputation. It came without toddler, pools, and ghosts. It was just empty then. They added a lot of good stuff to the base game. I just think they don’t wanted to risk to angry their fanbase more. Now they have a lot more people and the base game is a lot better as back then, so they try it now.
