EA Management: “How should we sell more DLC for Sims 4? People only play Sims 2!” “We add a shopping cart to Sims 2 which offers deals for Sims 4 and make the shopping cart much bigger in Sims4!”
Fully agree, Sims 2 is a million times better and more fun than terrible Sims 4 is.
Really? I know it's been years for me (7?) that I last installed, but I had to manually force it even then since just trying to let the program install on its own didn't work.
Were you trying to let the disc's do their thing, or did you go looking for the run program yourself?
You can try oldgamesdownload.com
I own all the story games (should have bought physical instead of through Origin...), but EA doesn't support them anymore, so I had no choice but to pirate them in order to play. I haven't needed to get a copy of TS2 because I own the discs, but I can confirm that Life Stories and Castaway both worked without issues or viruses (however, I did need to flag them as safe because after playing a few times my computer suddenly decided that all Sims was evil, even my TS2 which has been installed for at least seven years).
Windows really doesn't like trying to play older games lol
(It also needs to be played in compatibility mode and there's stuff to try and change the graphic settings because the game loves to crash. It doesn't like newer computers)
I'm no expert in technical stuff but I tried several times to install the base game DVD but whatever I did, there came immediately the warning that this app has been blocked for security reasons and there is always autorun.exe mentioned. No matter how I try to get the DVD started, the result is always the same. How exactly must I do it to force it getting installed manually ? Can you please write down the single steps where I must click ?
I also tried all the things I found online and followed those instructions of how to make it work but none of these worked this way.
I know there are sites where you can download Sims 2 for free but these are not legal as far as I can tell and so I don't want to do that.
