is there a way to go back to old updates?

ive not been able to play for like more than 4-5 MONTHS, ive uninstalled sims4 on steam and also uninstalled n reinstalled EA app, and i still get the error about '' theres a problem with your games setup'' and it tells u to reinstall. im honestly so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fed up with this, i have paid a good amount for all the dlcs i own just to not be able to access my game anymore.
idk what the issue is...
ive not found any fixes that have worked xd

No, you can't go back to older versions of the game. The only way that can be done would simply be to NOT update the game at the time by going offline on both Steam and EA and playing the game that way. But, once the game has been updated, then that's what you're stuck with.

Revert to old versions by right clicking the game, going into properties, then betas and then selecting your preferred version.
