Because of console; although, for myself personally I have never played The Sims 4 on console and probably never will. This is at least in part because it seems like more of a cash grab than the PC version of it. The Sims (although I am not certain if it ever was included on console contrary to The Sims 2 and The Sims 3), The SIms 2, and The Sims 3 were probably more enjoyable on console, but the same cannot also be said for The Sims 4 on console.

If you play on console get help elsewhere. On PC we just mod out everything we hate also if you don't give your sim pronouns the game will not show them.

You stop playing the Sims , scroll though the unlimmited options here in the Steam store where there is a overwhelming choice in games that are all white only and no lgbtq whatever to be found . Then you leave the Sims for people that can handle some diversity like a champ without complaining every single day about it .

From this post alone... I can tell that adding lgbt to a game will cause a lot of angry users- so I wouldn't add it in. Another game that gets heated over the mere argument to just have straights would be Tiny Life.

As dev is just better to release a game and never visit steam forums if you have something as pronouns added, you will always get the angry mob. Because of this many small teams just use their discord/own forum.

To answer Raft; No mod exist which removes pronouns and if you really don’t want to have pronouns you need to change your language settings. Only English user have pronouns and for the rest… just delete these sims and use a mod which make all bi, as it was in the past.

I'm playing my game with default settings. I think most of my sims (those generated automatically) are still cisgender. I have to deliberately make some LGBTQ just for variety in my metropolitan simcity.

Where I'm from, we didn't have the luxury of choosing what to be- and when I was young... maybe I wanted to switch. However, I came to accept what I was born as- and in itself, I was beautiful- people are beautiful- just as they were born.
