Celeste Michealson and Lia Hauata, both trans (male to female), are treated and function as female sims. Jay Robles is both non-binary and transitioned (female to male) and functions as male. These sims were programmed as intended. They're identified and recognised as such within the context of the game. So if Morgyn is meant to be both non-binary and trans (M to F), Maxis hadn't properly programmed this absolutely gorgeous sim.
Morgyn is treated as male and isn't female functional (even if anatomically suggested). Male heterosexual sims won't be attracted to Morgyn Ember. (I've tested this.) Although, they will be attracted to/marry Lia H whilst Celeste M loads in married to a hetero male and of course, Jay to a hetero female. As much as the community would like to believe Morgyn is transitioned, the game's own programming doesn't deliver. That being the case, I've found it difficult to envision something vaguely evident by toilets and wardrobes.
I'd have effing LOVED it if Maxis would've confirmed Morgyn as a drag queen. I'm unapologetic. Couldn't we have just one drag queen? What a perfectly beautiful sim for it. As for cloning, there can only be one Morgyn for me. I've edited replacements in CAS to make them look more magical, else they're just generated townies in sage's clothes.
Children should not play this game; it has teen rating (North America). So, you need to complain to the parents that they let their child play this game.
Yeah, you can do that if you're using WW. It's exactly what I'd done as Morgyn was dead set on marrying my female legacy witch. :) I saw no reason, then in leaving the former sage castrated. Legacy couples are meant to have heirs. Morgyn Ember is always responsive to romance/whoohoo with men and women but if you want a hetero male 'he is a him', you can change that, too.
Erm..yeah. This 'stuff' is in the game. Maxis put it there. It's not rated for tots.
Edit: Just ask the folks using Wicked Whims. They know better.
if your arguemnent is "prouns are bad" than grow up, non gendered pronouns are STILL pronouns, being upset about beign able to choose them, a reletively small addition with very little impact but big inclusion, is utterly rediculous
Edit: found it. It's in steam since I log in to EA app via steam. No Latin, has French tho'.
I am not bothered that much by pronouns actually and prefer keeping the English language during my gameplays as well.
By the way, a preteen boy got persecuted in US because he wore a T shirt that wrote "there's two genders"
I can understand this. I read the USA has a lot less rules to change the gender via surgeries and use any sort of pills. If somebody want to go this way, they need a psychology support here and for the surgeries/pills part this person needs to be 16/18+.
Still sheltering teens doesn’t work and only occurs that this teens makes it behind parents back. The big part here is education and that it covers all sort of things, inclusive the part which a human thinks she/her is in the wrong gender/or generally don’t want a gender. It has to doo a lot with the human psyche and is not something which people can *repair*.
If I would guess I think the boy just wanted to provoke. It’s the same as in year XX we don’t had left-handed people/people with autism or people which suffered from depressions.
I am now out in this topic, because in the end Xautos has right. This is just again a troll topic. I wish you all a nice friendly further discussion.
It was tempting for me to mention something in response to your comment, but it would have been off topic where this original topic of conversation seemed to be focused mainly on pronouns and TQIA+ instead of LGB. Also, when Notelien said "O don't get me started on schools teaching kids in elementary to become trans" I have actually not seen evidence of this anywhere on The SIms 4 that might be off topic as well and that is coming from someone who has spent a lot of time playing The SIms 4 and at the same time only plays with straight sims. I am probably not the only one either who usually plays only with straight and normal (binary instead of they/them and no trans anything) sims on The Sims 4. I did not however know much about Lia Hauata until only recently which might be tempting now for me to delete her or switch to an exclusively male or female sim (with the latter of which I could pretend that she always was female similar to Ash Harjo). That adds up now to 5 sims that could be potentially deleted (including Lia Hauata, Paka'a Uha, Celeste Michaelson, and Jay Robles, but like I mentioned previously I do not really want to delete Ash Harjo contrary to the other four while Morgyn I do not want to delete because of being NPC).
I had forgotten about Lia Hauata. At first Jay Robles being trans was confusing to me because of the ability to make other sims pregnant and being they/them made it confusing to me, but now that you mentioned Lia Hauata that seems to make more sense to me now and especially since Island Living came first even before there were pronouns added later. The reason why is due to the fact it is a fantasy game it could also be based on a complete transition fantasy as well from XX to XY or XY to XX. However, that is still only a minority of controversial sim characters even with Lia Hauata factored in as well (which adds up to six sim characters added from dlc) where you could still kill them, delete them, or make them into normal sims. The only two I would not want to kill or delete are Ash and especially Morgyn because of Morgyn being NPC.
That is true and The SIms 4 also has only six controversial sim characters from dlc total when it comes to nonbinary/trans. (Two are from Island Living, Two are from Growing Together, and only one from High School Years. Morgyn from Realm of Magic is not a transgender on The SIms 4, but is nonbinary only recently and also NPC.) This means nearly all sims by default are not labeled as They/Them and not trans anything (such as transgender, transvestite, and etc...).
Perhaps the people back then didnt have those expectations because it wasn't even legal to be who they were? People wanna be able to make themselves or their friends in a game like the sims. Maybe back than they didnt expect it because they were oppressed but that doesnt mean people didnt want certain options back then.
