can't interact with sims or other sims

when i try to click on my sim to see their pie menu and/or try to click on another sim to interact with them via my sim's pie menu, nothing happens. nothing shows up, no pie menu or anything. game runs perfectly fine other than that. i can use the phone, build, use cas, etc. just can't use the pie menu, so i'm not sure what to do

Did you install new mods recently? Because it sounds to me you forgot some addtional files the mod creator mentioned are needed to run.
The same could happen if you updated a mod and for e.g. the new version now functions without the .script file, but you didn't delete the old one.

And as always, delete your localthumbscache.package in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 when installing/updating/deleting mods.

Verify your game files via steam. If youre using mods or CC for Sims 4, download a mod call Better Exceptions by TwistedMexi. More than likely its a mod related to interactions. I had this problem because of a mod called "the one with all the romance"
