I think the issue, tho... is that Christmas is purged. Christmas tree is changed to Winterfest tree, etc while Light KInara and Light Menorah are offered.

But you can change "winterfest" to "Christmas", and "Father Winter" to "Santa Clause" with simple mods that even I can make. Not going to distribute the mod because the whole "Don't you dare redistribute my mod except on Feb 29th in years the ground hog doesn't see his shadow" culture. I don't want the grief from those who are butthurt because I don't play my game their way. Making a mod means that someone who doesn't like your mod is free to accuse your mod of crashing their game, inducing a rash, infected with covid or is spyware. Nah. I don't want to play that. It's not like I'm making 50k$/month like some people with a high demand mod...
There's also "fireworks" if you want to make a 4th of July and "remembrance" for Memorial day so go ahead and make the game you want to play.
And there are mods out there that add traditions... looks like only 3 TDESC files describe it.
But you don't understand! Every piece of work has to cater to my western, white, christian, heteronormative, conservative (bonus if American) beliefs und I will act if I'm offended if not, because that way I can make a farce out of equal rights activists and persons who are suffering under oppression for not being all those things; otherwise I won't retain my privileges and have to put even the slightest effort into being a decent human. /s
First of all, thank you.
Second, I don't even see why it's such a problem, it's literally a life sim game that isn't realistic out of the box.
let's not forget hat this is merely a game that we can mod to our liking. EA gave us a canvas, and we just paint on it, regardless of any "agendas" that are being promoted.
Yes, it does.
Congratulations on confirming every point I made with my sarcastic reply from post #33. Maybe some day you'll come across a world map and realise that the whole world isn't the USA and 300 million U.S. citizens are in the minority of approx. 8 billion people on this planet.
You will never hear me complaining about the absence of my national holidays, because I know there are other countries out there which couldn't care less about them. So much about being a snowflake...
lmao! It's all very well this miserable child won't engage. The above reads like a toddler having a tantrum.
James, you're exactly right. The Sims is a fantasy simulation game. The child (OP) had made the mistake of bringing religion into it, then made that a political agenda about the left.
What I'd written pertains to documented history of humanities, actual history. The context of it may be make-believe bs, but the history isn't. Christ is no different..make-believe bs and yet actual documented history.
It's not mine. I'm not responsible for writing thousands of years of human history. I simply enjoy learning and unlike some pathetic child (OP), I'd learnt the difference between 'opinions' and 'facts'. I'm capable of understanding that my opinions, whilst I may have these, are not facts.
The only one making a victim out themself is you.
I'm not the one being butthurt when faced with criticism. Or ignoring facts when someone else brings them up. Or getting wound up about a frigging video game.
You are offended because there is a piece of work not catering to your preferences, arguing that because the depiction of the world in it resembles vaguely your nation it has to be exactly like it, ignoring the fact that a large part of it depicts other nations as well.
Or do you think, for, e.g., Mt. Komorebi (Japan), San Myshuno (Japan, China, Australia, Canada, etc), Tomarang (Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam), Selvadorada (Middle/South America), Henford-on-Bagley (Great Britain), Tartosa (Mediterranian) and Windenburg (Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France) are all part of the USA? Then why aren't the national holidays of those countries part of the default calendar?
And what about white or black people? They sure aren't native to America. Not to mention Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam... short: Every religion not being of Native-American origin.
EDIT: Listing all plants in the game which aren't native to the U.S. would be way too much work.
