Seasons- it gives so much more life to what can be a pretty sterile world.

After that it really depends on how you like to play. I use City Living a lot. If you like family games, Growing Together is also strong (if you like playing families, I would also get the Parenthood Game Pack).

Cats and Dogs is good if you like to have a pet but I wouldn't give it a high priority. I also quite enjoy Cottage Living. I think the world in Get Together is one of the best- I use it all the time.

The other DLC I mainly use for the objects that come with them- Island Living and Snowy Escape both are pretty unique worlds but I hardly use them. I have Get to Work but the novelty of following a Sim to work ran out pretty fast for me. Same with High School Years.

I'd start with 1 or 2 DLC first then just gradually add them, they have fairly frequent sales. And never get a DLC on release- they are always buggy as hell.

start with the base game then only focus on the dlc when it has something your interested in then watch a review on said dlc from LGR or someone to make sure the dlc is right for you

do not buy every dlc unless you do not care about money or are one of those people who thinks they gotta collect em all
College, must have. Magic is another worthwhile one. if you find good prices and/or Build-a-Bundle on EA Launcher it may save you monies. bcs you have to open EA as play game, it'll load DLCs you've purchased there as well, mix-match w Steam DLCs. i own all the DLCs w EA, and Sims Deluxe on Steam; can confirm.

Get the oldest packs first (especially expansion packs including even Get to Work mainly because many people own this pack, commonly included on the gallery, and was the first ever expansion pack added to The Sims 4) and Seasons is also one of the older packs as well that is strongly recommended, but it is probably not the only expansion pack you should get due to the fact it does not add a new world. Get Together and Cottage Living you should definitely get eventually at some point because they are among the most popular expansion packs right now on Steam with up to 60% discounts maximum. Additionally, Cats&Dogs is highly recommended for an expansion pack similar to the other three I mentioned; although, some people really like City Living/Island Living as well. As for stuff packs and gamepacks they have some decent stuff and some decent packs, but you benefit the most during a discount sale for saving the most money when it comes to expansion packs instead of the discounts for gamepacks and stuff packs. There are however some exceptions for older packs that may not be worth getting or at least not getting them as your first packs including Dine Out (gamepack), Journey to Batuu (gamepack), Dream Home Decorator (gamepack, but might be worth more getting with a bundle if there is not a discount sale currently going on), Eco Lifestyle (might be worth getting later, but not as one of your first expansion packs), Discover University (same reason as Eco Lifestyle), and My First Pet (do not buy after it is not free anymore to get on Steam from that limited time offer because it is a dlc for a dlc).

Game reviews are always a good idea. Honestly, I'd avoid EAgamechangers or at least mix them with others.

LGR and Carl's Sims Guides are great picks for unbiased Sims DLC reviews.

Edit: I'm not sure if either are up to date on the latest packs but most are reviewed.

James Turner seems to like Eco Lifestyle, but Eco Lifestyle similar to Discover University is based on a pack that you either love or you hate. They should definitely not be the first expansion packs for someone to buy even with 60% discounts. Maybe for getting later, but not as first packs if the price seems to be an issue and especially if penis haver only has basegame currently. Same is also true for Dream Home Decorator (unless if purchased with bundle when no discount sale is taking place currently), Journey to Batuu, and especially Dine Out. Also, many people love Growing Together, but this expansion pack does not get 50% or 60% discounts yet.

Eco seems like one of those EPs players either really like or dislike. I'm not terribly fond of it (but I don't hate it). Dicover Uni, however is rated quite low if I'm not mistaken and is one of my favourites. I wouldn't ask me for advice. xD
Everyone's style is what it is which is why I think reviews are the way to go before buying.

Maybe not a good idea to buy Growing Together yet (depending on how many packs Penis Haver already owns and how much money he is willing to spend) even if LGR and Carl's Sims guides like tike that expansion pack only because it does not get 50% or 60% discounts yet. Reason why I edited my comment and mentioned that as well.

It is a strange name. Maybe I should call the name Haver or PH for short.

I quite like the freedom their name gives us to write things that sound a lot like insults/slurs/random dirty talk in the thread and have it hold up as totally legit and non-offensive chat.
