Do I need to re-download Sims 4 on steam?
I have Sims 4 downloaded on the EA App, and I am wondering do I need to redownload it on steam to launch through steam, or is there another way?

I like launching through steam because I have a couple DLCs on here, and the rest are on EA (I library share with my husband). So just need help :p

I'm a bit the same. I play TS4 on EA and have all the expansion packs and such via EA. My friend gifted me the For Rent pack on here and in order to play it, I have to download TS4 on Steam even though it is already downloaded and played for years on EA. Do they link together?

SO, I found that, because I had EA linked to Steam, I CAN play through steam (as in, download & launch) and it uses both Steam & EA DLCs.

However, launching through steam requires it to be ONLY downloaded on steam. If you have it downloaded on both, you can launch and it will say 9when clicking on the packs etc bit at the top left of screen) that you open the packs you do on EA, but you can't play with them. Can play with the DLCs owned on steam though. Hope this helps :)
