Game won't launch
So yesterday I was playing the sims 4 and it was working fine. Today I log on and my game updates automatically and after it finishes updating, I start the game...or try to but I keep getting an error message and it won't even load the start menu. Is there something I need to do fix this or is this a problem on the sims team's end?

It's ea's app i have the same issue, check if you can load the ea app it's not connecting for me.

ok so its a network thing.

I just updated my mcc command mod to see if that was the issue and its still not working.

the amount of times this happens on the damn EA APP so annoying the most useless software

Just ran the EA app and it won't connect to the EA Server. This is what the down detector says (so it looks as though we are just going have to wait until the server is back online:

I'm getting this error a few times a week, and I know it is NOT my PC, Network, etc.

Yes, I have tried some of what's been suggested, but being a PC tech, I know the other 60% of the suggestions from EA are useless and not applicable. They can't seem to get their app and server to communicate well, and try to blame their "clients" and have them mess with things they should not, like dealing with "2nd" admin account for their PC. That's not going to help a network issue that's only an issue for 1 app!

You can try to clear cache from EA App/restart computer. If neither of those options work it could also be that the server is down and that is why you are unable to play.

That's what already have tried. As stated after you, I'm already discussing this on EA's forum.

Really it gets slowly embarrassing how many time people can’t start their game because of some connection issues with EA APP.

Where I live it is 8;18 p.m Eastern Time right now, but I am hoping the EA App will start working again before tomorrow. This is not the first time either that EA App server has been down, but I could understand why it is annoying.

This happens occasionally, but does not seem to happen frequently or at least not enough for EA to die. It is however a controversial launcher because some people just want to skip the launcher and play offline, but do not know how.

I applied leave to play this game. The game is updated and I was happy thinking that they finally fix the unresponsive sims issues. Now the EA app down. There goes my day off wasted. I'll play DCS.
