The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

Split from Household and Move not working.
I tried a couple different times to have a NPC move in with my Sim after they married. (Same NPC, BTW), but when I tried to get them to move in together, the screen froze and nothing happened. Any of you guys know what to do? I'm on a Windows 11 PC.

It’s a bug: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Merging-households-through-dialog-doesn-t-proceed/td-p/13278599

There are some suggestions which you could try answer #5 and #15

If they haven't fixed this with the latest patch, please try the Manage Household button from the Manage Worlds screen (the map screen). You can also use the testingcheats code and shift-click the sim you want to add to your household, and add them that way. I had the same problem recently, but those two options worked for me. I hope they will for you too!

Thank you so much @hushicho for suggesting the testingcheats "add to family" option! I was able to add my new husband to my girl's household this way since the normal merge household option is greyed out for me. I'm not using any mods.
