My Wedding Stories, but there is a mod for dual weddings if you want basegame public wedding returned back. However, this only works on PC and not on console since console does not have mods. As for Dine Out while it is optional and does not make the "entire game" worse I have never actually played as a restaurant owner yet from this gamepack which might require one or more mods for fixing anything from it that might still be broken. Also, while they do not necessarily make the game worse some people do not like Dream Home Decorator/Journey to Batuu gamepacks. As for expansion packs I do not think that any of them necessarily make the game worse, but that is debatable and some people might think they are overpriced as well. As for stuff packs and kit packs none of them seem to make the game worse besides maybe bust the dust kit pack, but you do have the option to turn off dust in your gameplays from this kit pack.

Honestly I think seasons is the most annoying DLC. I regret installing it. I only got it because a lot of mods need it but the weather effects and sickness management is SO annoying. I guess the holiday party events are nice but I feel like blizzards occur way too much.

if your worried about bugs then you'll wanna play a different game, the sims and bugs go hand in hand

out of all the dlc for the game the none of the kits are worth the $ in my opinion, however the only pack i refuse to buy is the star wars

There is an option to turn off Seasons. What I hate the most about not having Seasons is that you get cold and hot weather outfits, but are useless without this pack. Additionally, not having any weather is unrealistic which with all of these reasons combined it should not be considered surprising that Project Rene will include Seasons as basegame. I like everything else about this pack as well, but could understand why there might be a few people who do not like this pack who think that it is annoying/maybe should have been basegame instead.

I thinks Seasons is neccessary, but It's a shame they never (afaik) fixed that bug with townies dying to cold or heat. Instead they gave us the option to turn off weather effects on sims, and I did this. Would love to have them on MY sims but don't wanna lose all their townie friends for it.

The last gamepack worth mentioning is Outdoor Retreat. I do not think that it makes the game worse, but might be underrated on Steam. My biggest issue overall when it comes to making the game worse are overall limited to just gamepacks instead of expansion packs (although, as mentioned previously debatable especially when it comes to bugs and some people think they are overpriced), stuff packs (except for My First Pet which you should only get if it is free), and kit packs. Especially Journey to Batuu (to some extent where I give it a rating of only 5 out of 10), Dine Out (mainly just the career instead of anything else), Dream Home Decorator (similar to Dine Out), and My Wedding Stories especially for console players who do not play The Sims 4 on PC despite having a decent sized world for a gamepack. Also, while I have no issue with Outdoor Retreat less than 50% of people on Steam gave this gamepack a positive review. That means almost 50% of gamepacks from Steam do not seem to be liked very much overall which is unfortunate since they are much cheaper than expansion packs as well.

Kit packs are not that much different from cc (custom content), but costs money instead of being free. They do not make actual gameplay worse, except for maybe Bust the Dust kit pack. While they do not have any negative effect on actual gameplay overall I could also understand why some people will not buy any kit packs. Instead, they might buy most if not all of the stuff packs instead of kit packs (although, some of the older stuff packs add very little if any actual gameplay), except for maybe My First Pet which is only worth getting when it is free. I did not own all of the stuff packs until only recently when My First Pet became free.

really just kit packs because they are basically custom content mods you pay for, but if you wanna get a kit pack just wait for a sale to come on.

Kit packs will never go on sale and would be very surprised if they do, but do not make the game worse overall. Just simply do not buy them for anyone who does not want them. Also, those 60% discounts for some expansion packs (but only if older than Cottage Living) is actually a bit generous for EA as well, because that would make them cost only $2 more than those $14 gamepacks when at a 30% discount.

Yeah. I'd be shocked if Kits were to ever go on sale. I agree cc is far better but it can also become broken with Maxis updates..better but riskier, especially if creators no longer update them.

It looks like For Rent isn't going over so well at the moment. Hopefully Maxis will have further bug fixes soon.
That's just what I've been seeing/reading. I haven't bought it yet so..no experience, personally.

Maybe it will have a better rating once the bugs are fixed more. For Rent I think really did have potential to be better than Horse Ranch and Eco Lifestyle, because it only came out recently which of course some people are going to critical especially towards bugs and loading screens where some people can tolerate them both, but others cannot and think it makes the game unplayable to some extent. I am not bothered by the loading screens in particular, but that is part of the problem of some people being critical of this despite the fact The SIms 4 was coded differently than The Sims 2 and is not open world. It may never be as good Growing Together and Get Together, but I do not think it is necessarily the worst expansion pack either. I am not overly upset about the new world either (which contrary to SatchonSIms I would give this new world a 4 out of 10 rating instead of 1 out of 10 since The SIms 4 never was intended to be open world to begin with and the average being only 12 lots per world, but I might perhaps give a slightly higher rating if at had at least one 50x40 or 50x50 lot) contrary to some people since the 99 units from any world is supposed to help make up for this and some people might have all worlds already unlocked anyway, but as mentioned previously they do not appreciate the loading screens even though they always existed from the beginning when The SIms 4 first came out.

I agree. It's a brand new EP and appears as though it's really in need of bug fixes. The loading screens are just part of Sims 4 in general. I'm not bothered by them. It was exactly the same in City Living if you want your sim to visit a neighbour.
My family wants it and so do I, honestly. I just plan on buying it once it's stabilised. That may take some time.

I also mentioned that some people are critical of the new world from my edited comment, but contrary to SatchonSims I would not give this world a 1 out of 10 rating. It is not that terrible, is beautiful, it is not a "small world" contrary to Magnolia Promenade if you factor in world size and not just lots only where you might need a bike for traveling, and supposed to be based on a unique country called Thailand even if it feels like there are not enough sims visiting this world in general to make it feel more alive. I would only give the new the world a 4 out of 10 rating since the average size you can now expect for lots is just 12, but would rate it slightly higher with 4.5 out of 10 if it had at least one 50x40, 50x50, or 64x64 lot. This is mainly because this world is the first pack for renting and some people were expecting bigger lots than just one 40x30 lot which at most is suitable for just six units or maybe even up to ten units with cheats assuming that you can make big enough units to have a five star rating for each one. Yes, the temple (such as for example could have been a unique lot similar to Copperdale High School or a museum where you could actually send your sim inside instead of just being a rabbit hole), tiger sanctuary (rabbit hole), and cave (could have had a secret lot behind cave in addition to being a rabbit hole similar to Granite Falls and not only just for getting tassels) will be a disappointment to at least some people, but I think that this pack was mainly about renting instead of the new world that came with it and some people (including myself recently) might already have all worlds unlocked anyway.
