Missing Base Game

Hi, recently I decided to get back into Sims after taking a break from it. It was working fine. Then I noticed that in game items were missing. When I checked it says that I haven't purchased the base game, which of course I have. I brought it through steam back in 2020. I tried contacting EA support but they keep telling me to use the live chat function which doesn't appear for me. I've looked through the whole support website and can not find an option for live support. I tried explaining this to EA and now they are just ignoring me. Has anyone else had this issue and if so any ideas how to fix it?
