Heatproof/Iceproof not working

I bought Iceproof on my sim and had him painting outside in the snow and he still turned blue and nearly froze to death, what's the deal? I thought iceproof made you freeze proof.

afaik, those just increase the temperature tolerance/resistance.

just to be clear, did you buy the one thats 4000 points? because theres 2 versions and the one that cost 4000 is the one thats supposed to make them uneffcted whereas the cheaper one only increases tolerance to it

Yes, two increase the tolerance of hot and cold and the other two more expensive ones that are 2k each, they are meant to make your sim immune to hot and cold weather and offer a positive moodlet when hot or cold weather strikes.

4000 both heat and cold.

hmm thats odd. when i had ice proof a few months ago, before the new patch, it worked as advertised

Yeah, it seemed to work just fine the last few times I played before the last, it was two days ago or so I loaded my game and my sim nearly froze to death so it may have been the new update that has done something to it. My game is also 100% vanilla no mods just some DLCs for clarity as well.

Update: I went to work in winter and I've got both the "Pleasant Chill" from being iceproof and the "Chilled" moodlet for being cold, looks like this update definitely broke something.

Maybe you are right. EA added a debug gift from seasons involving the infant update. EA should have never messed around with that gift from the infant update, because it is not really important enough for breaking lifetime rewards. Currently, I am unaware of anything new to The Sims 4 involving Seasons beside the useless debug gift that was not really needed in my personal opinion.

How long is it going to take for EA to fix this bug? It should be reported on the official EA website or on the official Sims website. Otherwise, EA might fail to notice this bug is causing issues for players since the infant update.

this happened to me long time ago.

i always buy the best perks for my main sim family, make them super/in- human

the temperature perks i mentioned is the "proof" version cost 2k.

freeze still happened onto a sim with ice"proof", and she died after falling down into pieces

i dunno whether is it supposed to work as "proof" or not, or which update broke that, but its not due to infact update.

The proofs are supposed to make you immune to all negative moodlets and death associated with that temperature, there's definitely a problem if I'm getting happiness from being cold as well as uncomfortable for also being cold, the positive one should be in place of the uncomfortable one, they both shouldn't exist on a sim at the same time.

There's an option to turn off weather effects on sims. Just flip that off until the bug is fixed.

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion, have to do that in the meantime.
