In your game, go to "Load Game". Next to the "Delete" button, you'll see an icon (it will only appear on your most recent game save) When you mouse over it, it will say, "Recover Save". As long as you didn't make any saves AFTER your Sim died, then the Recover Save will load the save game that you had made BEFORE the one you are presently seeing. Hope that made sense.
i believe there is a mod out there that can find those hidden traits some sims have, if you can put those immortal traits on a few of your sims, they'll never die.
I also use MCCC immortal flags on sims I don't play but neither want to age and die (for example, the magical sages and pack werewolves). You can use them on any sim but at least one sim in your household must first meet them. Any sim can be summoned by using MCCC on the postbox.
The whole mod is a necessity for me. Do recommend it highly. :)
Does anyone else besides me whose sim dies from an accidental death allow to actually stay dead instead of reloading the game without saving? I for example intentionally killed Celeste Michaelson from drowning by killing her from a swimming pool instead of using the MCCC mod to kill her and also instead of it being an accident because of it being intentional from at least one of my saved games, but death by laughter was not intentional that perhaps might surprise some people that I allowed that one sim to stay dead. Death by laughter was literally the only time I had experienced an accidental death that was not intentional besides the death by urban legend myth involving teen Mortimer Goth from High School Years expansion pack involving the "Live Fast" aspiration meaning that I have only noticed an accidental death instead of intentional death happen twice in my gameplays.
Nah, I always quit without saving if one of my sims dies. Generally, all my sims live a happy live without drama and dead. My playstyle is very boring, especially if I read all the drama and action on reddit and what people do with their sims. I just don’t have the heart to let they die or bring drama/suffering in my game.
Really depends for me, I may reload but I also may roll with it. Sometimes it can be fun to all of a sudden get a change up forced on me, perhaps my sim will go through the motions to resurrect. Or maybe Ill just leave the sim dead if reload and they wind up dying a second time. They can still be a ghost in the household until I decide if I want them back or to let them stay dead.
so sims shows up and they were immediately in a terrified mood, they ran to a certain location and landed on the floor like they were supposed to be dead. i think they were meant to be, but because MCCC had them all flagged for immortality, they just remained like that until i found a dozen of them just like that on the floor. i had to reset them and make them leave the lot. i found the problem very quickly and solved it so it won't happen again. As for anywhere else? i can't say.
it was a good thing the flag was active on all my sims, i could see all my sims perishing from the same thing if they weren't flagged and they were all taken care of by the reaper.
