Sims game is bugged buttons icons apear in a dark shadow color and are misplaced.

Hello, I was testing my sims 4 base game with no mods or cc added; and everytime I want to create a new sim, the icons, including the menu and such appear all bugged and in dark colors. They are misplaced very far away in the corners of the screen and are piled up with one on top of the other.

I already tried uninstalling the game, deleting all the files and re-downloading and its still the same. Since I bought the game on steam , I also did the file verification option and the game is still the same. Its basically unplayable.

is their anything I can do?

Very good of you for doing a lot of pre-work. Have you moved(or renamed) The The Sims 4 folder in my documents too allowing the game to generate a new files there too, remember to backup the The Sims 4 folder in My documents first(Otherwise you might lose your saves)? Do you have any other computer to test the game on? What are your computer specs?

You can repair Sims 4 in the EA App.

You can launch the EA App, click on the 3 lines top left hand corner and repair app or get help

If you right click on Sims 4 in EA app you can manage and repair (this is a slow process)

If you right click on Sims 4 in steam library, then properties, then local files you can verify files to repair
