Contrary to LilSimsie, youtuber SatchonSims loves Get Famous who I think might be more honest with his reviews about packs overall than Lilsimsie. And so, I think it largely depends on personal preference. For me personally, I think that Get Famous is mainly about finding ways to get your sims rich quickly without cheating and the extra options available from being famous similar to the extra unlocked abilities for spellcasters, vampires, and werewolves.

there is a difference between lightly negative and critically constructive in the negative. I fear when users look up these ea shills that they won't get all the details they really need to know and get sold on not knowing half as much as they need to know, stuff that could help a user consider, reconsider or know right up what they are getting themselves into and were forewarned.

Just have those DLC, ahem, unlocked, if you catch my drift.

It is funny that when it comes to discussion about dlc, rarely is pirating never mentioned even once. For people who want to get dlc legally only get the packs actually worth buying. I also noticed as well that the more packs someone owns the slower the gameplay is as well such as slower loading screens when entering into different households, more lag, and even crashes during gameplay starting to get more frequent as well if someone owns a lot of dlc on The SIms 4. LilSimsie for example most likely owns every single dlc pack, but it also crashes sometimes during her gameplays where she has to frequently save the game as well.

this game is really dry compared to previous titles like sims 2 and sims 3. also paradox (a major publisher) is making a life simulation game that will likley be bettter. sims 5 is also releasing within a few years anyway, save your money.

yeah i think a lot of people nowdays either don't want to take chances doing something illegaly, afraid of downloading a virus or simply don't know how. And DENUVO has really cut down on piracy now, only exception is older games like the sims 4

Or maybe some people just want to pay for things which they like? Because… you know we only get more if a company make money of it. If to many people take ways which don’t get money for a company, then will likely scrap the project.

I agree Sims4 is expensive, but you can just buy it on sale, and you don’t really need to get all DLC straightaway just purchased all DLC over time and only in sale. I think all DLCs are worth the money, just maybe not full price. Even My Wedding Bug is worth it, just for the world and the CAS/BB.

BTW: I have all DLC + Kits my game doesn’t have any problem as crash/lag or slow loading time, but I have a pc which is an overkill for sims4. If you have a laptop which only runs minimum/medium hardware you get problems, and need to calculate how much you want to add(DLC, Mods +CC). You can’t blame the producer for it, if a game crash/lags because your hardware is not good enough, but you can blame the producer if it runs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on console.

I think that the biggest problem with crashes, lag, and slow loading time at least on PC is there is not enough memory on the C drive where gaming computers not only require a video card, but also enough C drive memory as well. A powerful gaming computer for example needs both and most likely the only reason why Lilsimsie's game crashes so much despite her apparently not using very many mods (besides the MCCC mod) and very little if any cc has to do with the fact she does not have enough memory on the C drive hardware of her computer. I do however understand and respect the reasons why having some major issues may take place on console if owning too much dlc.

I checked her specs on twitch, and yes, her hardware is not so good as mine. But I must say her specs are clearly enough for sims 4 and it should not crash. She still has better hardware specs as most simmers. She still uses a normal hard drive, so I don’t know if she has sims4 installed on her SSD or HDD.

I read the pre-patch GT gave some crash issues for some users, I could only reproduce one crash in a vanilla game, and this was a pain to find. A normal player should not trigger this crash, so the team will likely ignore it. (It has to do with save jumping and placing lots/households from gallery/library on a played save)

For myself I don’t use MCCC. I don’t blame the mod for crashes. MCCC works fine for most player and is a stable mod (It can cause some issue for long played save if you have all settings on high and culling disabled but then it depends again on your hardware)

All in all, sims 4 is just poorly optimized, and so better your hardware is so likely you don’t got any problem with sims4 (simulation lag, crashes, fps dops <- better how long it takes that the game go back to default fps)

after a year of playing I've bought about 75% of the game all major packs. I never thought I would. The wolf package is the only one I really don't play. I just havn't tried it yet

Just my personal opinion, but I think that werewolves (appearances aside if you can ignore it, unless if you actually like there appearance which probably represents only a minority of players who own this dlc currently) are actually better and more fun to play with than spellcasters and even vampires when it comes to their abilities. With werewolves being the last occult ever to officially be added into The Sims 4 currently they are arguably one of the best in comparison to other occults as well.

Buy when it goes on sale. All dlc is worth having especially if you download content from other simmer's off the gallery or elsewhere. You can download a house and there could be an object missing from a certain pack.
