Which you prefer sims 3 or sims 4
Out of curiosity, I think sims 3 had better packs.

I love them all for what each has offered, but I wish TS4 wasn't made 'video game turned divisively sociopolitical reality show', as well as a terribly glitched & bug riddled bombsite whats half been left in a state of debris. (I wish that was a bit too harsh)
I still love 4 for what it offers, mostly due to what all of the modders have fixed but the others hadn't required so much external source fixing to love them.

If I had to choose between 3 or 4, of course it'll be 3. I'm grateful to have versions 2-4, though.

I paid almost 700$ (DLC half off) for a game that barely works (TS4), TS3 will always be 2nd to the second, but first when some choice mods are involved.

Sims4, just because occults are in sims 4 better (I ignore here mermaids, Aliens, Ghosts and *PlantSims*, they are all terrible) + I think the modding community is bigger in sims 4 and I can have more freedom because of this.

Sims 3. 4 is casual boring crap.

I personally prefer The Sims 4, but I also use Windows 11 instead of Windows 10. If I was still using Windows 10 then maybe The Sims 3, but even on Windows 10 I had various different issues with this game that were very annoying even before switching to WIndows 11. We seriously need a newer game that has more similarities to The Sims 3 and especially with open world (which it is worth pointing out as well that I would be very surprised if The SIms 5 is going to be open world), but also less broken of a game than The SIms 3 at the same time. I experienced multiple issues with The Sims 3 even on Windows 10 despite the fun I had with it overall.

at launch sims 3 was by far the better game imo. but when I try and go go back to it now I think sims 4 exceeded it several years ago if you "acquire" all the dlc. I would never in a million years pay over £600 to own the whole game would be insane (same with any sims game tbh) .
Sims 3 ran like crap with all the DLC, 4 runs like a dream. having shops to own was something 3 lacked massively after 2 had it.
Sims 4 does have some major omissions like cars etc. but to me it is the definitive sims game now, and I have been playing since day one and have every single pack for every sims game installed on my PC.

You think sims 4 barely works but sims 3 does? lol it only works when you install nraas mods. out of the box it's bloated and broken as hell with all expansions. 2 has major issues as well if you play long enough.

It depends.

Sims 3 had better packs and more activities to do so there was better gameplay. More was offered for a lower price.

But sims 4 has better builds, better CAS and outfits/ hairstyles (without CC). Also I didnt have lag every fives minutes and I think sims 4 is less buggy.

sims 3 always wins. i super miss the open world. i understand why they got rid of it cuz if you played sims 3 long enough there would be game freezes that could last up to 30 seconds or more, from a "stuck" sim somewhere in the world. and it was hard to ever find the sim causing the issue.

but i feel like they could have remedied it in some other way. 4 without open world just feels wrong

I think the Sims 4 Werewolves might just be one of the best DLCs in the Sims series shortly above the Vampire one, its got such precise gameplay that sinergizes with every other part of the game with well written lore its just such a joy compared to the rest of the Sims 4 and its mediocore packs. But yeah obviously Sims 3 wins here especially because each Expansion pack has gameplay that can occupy your playthrough for hours at a time because its just that good, an example:

And yeah the build mode is better in 3, thats a hill Ill die on

Sims 3 was like a Tower of Jenga. The more DLC, mods, packs, etc., that you added to the game, the ever more likely it was to crash.

SIms 4 is like a Lego kit, but half the pieces have been left out of the box and you pay extra to get just those parts you want.

I very much like 4, but I preferred 3's smoother gameplay and less cartoony vibes.

Irony with sims 3 you can buy all 20 dlcs on steam for £100 yet on the main store page says £300

I much prefer sims 3 the value for expansion packs was worth more. I really loved some of the features that are missing in sims4. I properly played sims 3 on console and that ran like a mess but it was fun. I suppose with more dlcs it run like hot garbage on pc. I’ve only got pets and supernatural. I did try get back into sims 4 with its DLC packs but it doesn’t free or open I hate being locked behind ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loading screen and I miss cars

Hmmm, which one is better...
Price: Sims 3
Graphic and CAS options: Sims 4
Content and gameplay options: Sims 3
Building features: Sims 4
Buggyness: Ig Sims 3, but Sims 4 is almost the same
Open world against lot travel: I will always root for Sims 3 open world, despite it's laggy and lot traveling is traditional to sims franchise
Money earning: Sims 3. All you need to have is In to the future DLC and you will swim in cash in no time.
Occults powers: Sims 4, vampires in 4th are the mightiest beings (though i never tested werewolf furries), spellcasters need still some work as their potential is still not unlocked.

I need to test more features, more DLCs i just testing fame and i guess i liked Sims3 fame system more, fame system in Sims 4 is kinda annoying (more real) and unforgiving.
