More ways to earn money ?

Hi there,
I want to earn more money with my sim, i have a job but is there a way to earn money a other way ?

I am kind of new to the sims 4 so any info would be nice.

There's about a million ways to make money. Painting, writing, gardening, woodworking, flower arraigning, bake sales, fishing, selling collectibles, stealing, doing favors, taking freelance jobs. Pretty much anything you can do in the game, you can make money. Hacking, tutoring, busking, write research papers, marry Father Winter, photography, I'm sure there's a ton more I can't think of right now.

I tend to do a lot of living off the land rags to riches, my sims rarely have actual jobs.

I´m also more or less a beginner, but first thing i was told was " how to make money"
if i renember right , you first have to "open" a DOS Box (= press together "strg" + "shift" + "C") then write in : Motherlode , and then press enter, gives your Sim 50.000 Simelons each time you do. (Max limit is about some Millions i think)

Give your sim Kleptomaniac, steal everything not nailed down and sell it from your inventory.

Get Charisma skill high, ask other sims for a loan and don't pay it back.

Marry a rich sim and have them move into your house, bringing their wealth. The rich sim has a swimming accident. Actually, the sim doesn't need to be rich, you'll just have to do it a few more times to get some real money.

Get a computer and have your sim write books. Then go to the mailbox and publish them. After a while the money rolls in much much faster than what they could make having a job. Each book they publish brings in money every day and the more they write the better they get at writing and the better they get at writing the more money each book makes.

requires a high level mischief skill to make use of the klepto trait.

things like the armour suit and expensive paintings on the walls of willow creek museum is an easy fat target for a thief to make a nice chunk of change. just make sure to go into build mode immediately after stealing the item and replacing it. don't worry your household funds are not being used. This is so you can return and steal more of the same.

i'd suggest you immediately get your sim in as soon as loading is complete before all the other sims load in, but then again there is a plant object just outside the museum on the lot that always attracts every sim to it.

meaning build up to level 5 celebrity, gain easy street and career hopper perks, your jobs pay is almost doubled and the career promotion prospects are trivial with a little effort. if you add in discover university and gain a degree with honours and then immediately get a job whilst using the celebrity perks as well, the money gained is double the base pay and the celebrity pay, so you are making at level 10 job almost 1.4k an hour aand the more you over level and gain extra pay, the easier it will be to make so much more per hour.

shrewd reward trait.

it's based directly on how much you have in the household funds and multiplies it to 10% of that household fund. so if you have 40k in the household funds, you'll get 4k simoleons as the deposit for that week. same if you had 400k household funds, you'll get 40k as a deposit. this goes all the way to 9,999,999 simoleons offering 499,999 simoleons a week.

it's worth noting that if you have multiple sims in the household and they all have the same trait from the aspiration? they'll all gain a deposit each week based on the household funds, so it can add up very quickly over a few game weeks.

Gardening is a great way to earn money, plus it's really fun ! Once you reach level 10 gardening you unlock rare plant packets and can earn a lot of money from those. They cost 1,000 simoleons but they are an investment. Also, the moneyfruit ! It can be bought for 5,000 aspiration points and planted and harvested.

I say some easy ones Base Game are Writing Books and Publishing them, Queueing lots of art using the Digital Sketch Pad to make a lot of them in one sitting, and Gardening with Dragon Fruits.
