Sims being mean for no reason?
So, since the new "update" I've noticed a lot more mean interactions during otherwise friendly social interactions between sims with maxed friend/flirty relationships. Seems to be leading towards sentiments like "festering resentment" & "hurt". Anyone else experiencing this?
EDIT- This is stated further down the post but I figured i'd put here for all to see... There is something of a workaround for this problem if you have the MCCC mod. You can click on a computer in the world, select autonomous interactions, then disable mean autonomous interactions. It's not a real solution but it beats watching your soulmates yell at & insult each other every other breath. Hope this helps.

I've heard it's a bug with the most recent official patch.

EDIT: Specifically with the addition of the loyalty trait.

let me take one guess, just one wild guess: the autonomy? hah! typical.
There is a reason i despise it so.. you give the autonomy any room to mess about and it will screw you 50 diffferent ways to sunday.

so now the developers allowed the autonomy to go off on a bender for this patch. what a bloody shambles!

Maybe they have the mean trait?

I think it is it. When my sims was a detective/police officer, almost all sims had the mean trait.
Since I changed her career and restart a new world, this is okay, few sims have the mean trait and the interactions are more peaceful.

doesn't stop them from acting in a terrible manner when their mood isn't good during conversation rolls. also absurdly they can trigger those moods by doing things they dislike like if they dislike mischief, someone commited to a mischief action, they get a tense mood and then the autonomy gets a hold of it, you won't see the end of it.

This is also happening on the nonsteam version of the game. Even brand new sims day one with good cheerful and neat trait will automatically do mean social actions during the welcome wagon event, for absolutely no reason. Also tested this with a brand new day one married couple with these traits, had them start a conversation and poof they both start arguing. This started after the update.

Nope. This is happening with spouses, good friends and lovers with no history of animosity or any negative traits. Autonomy is off but it's happening with those social interactions that happen in between during normal friendly conversation.

it's happened in every single social interaction i've had since the update.

I hope they fix this. I work hard to keep my sims relationships positive...random mean interactions?...why?

Thanks for this reply. Mainly i'm happy to hear that it's not just me lol. Also happy to hear there's something of a workaround with mccc

so hope we get a patch quick.

EA don't usually drop patches for TS4 outside of their monthly cycle, not unless it's serious. This is annoying but hardly their highest priority problem.

if there is a quick fix, i expect it to drop with the next SDX, since there hasn't been one of those for a few months.
