mods not working

i got mods both through nmm and not nmm but i do not know how to use them and yes i got the game from steam

You really don't need to use Nexus Mod Manager to install mods in the Sims 4. It's very simple. I just unzip the files and place them one folder deep in the Mods folder. (My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods) And then make sure that mods and scripts are enabled in Game Options/Other. Any Custom Content, such as custom hair, clothing etc. come as .package files. Just place those directly into the Mods folder. Eventually, though, as you accumulate more and more, you may want to put those files in their own folders.

Where are you looking? There are 2 separate locations that the game uses. One is in My Documents and the other is the game files installation where you told Steam to install all your Steam games. If no folder exists in "My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4" folder, just create one. Once you enable mods & Scripts in settings, one might get created. Either way, just create your own and put your mods and CC in that folder.

the game won;t load what did I do wrong? do I need to take the stuff out of the files?

now it is telling me that i don't have a app for the game. what doe's that mean?

Try redownloading the mods and deleting the old copy. If there's a tscript type of file move it to same documents location as the mods folder is located (but not in the mods folder). Also double check you allowed the mods scripts to be on.. you'd go to the setting, game option, and click on the mod script, apply, and save and exit the game

the mods I got have something called packages in them do I need to take them out and put them in the mods folder?

Yeah and if you have a Zip type of file you'll need to open it and move the docs into the Mods folder

Your problem is you're not reading things completely. There's instructions on how to install mods and CC on ALL of the mod sites and Lady Aeleanor told you how to install them. If English isn't your primary language use translate.google.com to translate text and websites to your language.

my English is fine i'm just not very tecy that's all. and i can not get the mods to work still even though i followed the instructions to the letter. the game doe's nothing when i click on the mods so what do i do now?

"When you click on the mods"?? Why would you want to do that? The mods are executed when the game runs. The mods aren't "clicked on".
