is it better to play this game here on steam or on EA apps?
Yeah, I wonder... should I buy this game here on steam or should I buy this game on EA apps?

You can use either one, it'll open EA/Origin regardless.

Edit: One more thing, it's free.

oh so even if I buy it here it will open the EA apps? Origin is closing. it's now replace by EA apps, I was a bit shock. but I sign up again using same email. and luckily my old games are still there.

Yeah, it'll open EA when you launch it from Steam. So don't worry about what is better or not. Gl <3

The Sims 4 is requiring Origin still in Steam version

I do not think that EA apps is necessarily required from The Sims 4 if you play it on Steam and Origin or only play The Sims 4 on Origin. I have never actually used Origin for myself besides The Sims 4, but it is required for The SIms 4 if purchasing The Sims 4 basegame on Steam.

Yes. EA app isnt required but Origin is required

Actually I'd say getting it on Origin/EA App is better. The Steam version requires Origin anyway, furthermore the EA App is incompatible to Sims on Steam and using the Steam version of any EA game will prevent you from using the EA app if you care for that (EA App replaces Origin while Steam requires Origin). If you have a Mac in your household, Origin and EA app include the Mac version of the Sims, Steam doesn't. Sales usually happen on both platforms simultanously with the same discounts, so there's no reason at all to get the game on Steam, unless you care for the social features or gimmicks like trading cards.

EA app hasn't got full steam integration functionality, it's actually a significant enough difference that it's not a steam thing at all, it's origin or ea app. if you choose the app, steam can't run your game because the app isn't steam integrated yet.

yeah thats why you use origin or install both

buy it on Origin. I just played on steam earlier today and now steam is asking me to reinstall the whole game for no reason. No idea what's going on, if my saves are lost after reinstall I will be furious.
