The content is fine as far as CAS items go, as always.
The content as far as gameplay goes is fine...I guess. Nothing to get too excited about. School mostly seems to work, but is over quickly. A few extra popups, some extra bugged popups too.
As usual, CAS and BB is pretty good, which EA knows is good enough, since many people will buy the pack just for that, so they'll still get their money.
Watching the Let's Plays of different Creators shows an awful lot of glitches and issues - prom not working, graduation not working, sims not doing their commands, getting detention because your sim won't go to class and there's no option to send them to class, all kinds of stuff.
For that much money, we just expect more. And we expect it to actually work.
It's my favorite expansion pack and I have them all. But I'm notoriously easy to please, so I'm not saying others are wrong.
in all seriousness its likely the bugs like the age-up phone addiction and stuff
The cellphone bug is basegame related from the update and not expansion pack related. Fortunately, I got a mod for this recently where the cellphone addiction is not autonomous anymore which unfortunately the Guru team was too lazy or too ignorant to fix it. Or, perhaps word did not reach them fast enough for them to realize that the cellphone obsession caused by the basegame update was a serious problem that needed to be fixed as well from the emergency patch.
but i think most people are just feed up of bugs every major pack so are taking it out in
the high school years reviews but i dont think ea cares about steam reviews
I think they do care about Steam reviews to perhaps help them learn from what they did wrong with previous packs, but when it comes to fixing the actual bugs that is mainly up to the Sim Guru team and not EA. You can not really trust EA to fix all of the bugs unfortunately besides their small Guru team that could be underpaid and understaffed as well. Should EA care about not making packs that are not broken before release? Absolutely, but the problem is that the pursuit of money also has the power to corrupt even for a billion dollar or multi million dollar industry where EA seems to overall care about the money than fixing all of the bugs where they think mods will help somehow fix any unresolved problems making EA unreliable when it comes to fixing bugs on The Sims 4.
i'm sure that's said by youngsters but then again 10 years later and those same people end up fondly remembering their school years where they didn't have responsibility and so badly wished they could go back to those days where things were simple. that's innocence of youth clashing with someone who has learned about life and experience.
You'd be surprised how much people may have loved school and not realised it until much later. so i suspect not everyone for sure.
It is free. It does not cost me any money.
