It's probably a good way to get banned on Origin. I bought the DLC over several years of playing. I think they are worth the asking price.

Pirating isn't cool! Also authentication is done by origin to ensure you actually own the dlc, whether or not you bought it through steam of origin so pirating dlc content is a lot more hassle than just buying them. You should also just wait until a sale where they are 50% to 75% off instead of pirating them.

Instead of pirating you could also not buy as just about all dlc is not worth it compared to previous sims titles

There is only one pack in the entire game that might encourage piracy for some and that is My Wedding Stories Game Pack. That pack is broken that EA refuses to fix completely. I would not recommend piracy because it is wrong, but this pack is the only pack I would absolutely recommend to not buy.

It may not even be worth pirating, because it could potentially make weddings worse.
I have never owned this pack, but take notice for example that I seen it mentioned that normal public weddings (as opposed to private weddings which I can imagine are still there even with this pack) are completely replaced with broken weddings that exclusively come from this pack meaning that normal public weddings are not even allowed as option anymore if you use this broken pack. If you love to make the sims miserable and have terrible public weddings then by all means go go buy this pack.
