manually installing mods

how do I manually install mods I think their is supposed to be a file somewhere named mods but I cant find it

What that should be in document folder "NOT" in steam folder. It should be created once you start up steam or origin version sims 4. It automatically create document folder where you can make your mod folder. Max known to place there 3 to 5gb. that due clothes to hair being bigger files.
Normally I installing trait mods, jobs and functional items are really cool to add to ones game. It doesn't get that big.

The Mod folder is in your Documents folder. Check C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
If you are downloading Sims, the files will go into the TRAY folder, located in the same Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray folder.
Mods are mostly in .package files. These files go into your mod folder. Good luck!

The Mods folder isn't in the Game folder. Sims 4 has 2 separate locations. You need to go to your My Documents folder as has been said.
