Which is why I did not purchase City Living.
But yeah, roaches don't just spawn because stuff is dirty, they only spawn in the apartments that have the roach/rat holes in the walls.
With some cheats i can debug to remove those from the lot, all of them and then rebuild the lot to my liking, it's a good starter once you got it sorted out with mods that have access to those apartment items so they can be deleted.
Some other apartments, especially the the one Salim Benali lives in in the Medina apartment block is small at 9x9 and has pipeworks and other problems, in effect it's a dump. then there are the culpepper apartments..
just a few apartments in San Myshuno.
Of the two apartment blocks and 4 apartments? no i haven't.
But it's something of a surprise because you can vote on local naps as well as general neighbourhood naps. the local naps stand out from the other naps (Green Initiatives or Modern Development in one of the three neighbourhoods in Evergreen Harbour). This removes the trash from the streets but increases bills. If you leave it by default, there is trash everywhere and it should be a breeding place for roaches and rats quite easily.
Yet in both apartment blocks there are no such things.
I'm not sure how to tell which have "roach holes" before moving in.
There are even roaches in Animal Crossing (on the rocks.)
When you look at the apartments, any of the ones with the lot trait "Needs TLC" will have them. They will also have water pipes and an electrical box with will frequently break. You can call the landlord to fix it, but it's a pretty great way to get your handiness up quickly.
Also, if you leave garbage on the ground outside for a full game after the garbage piles up it will take root and become a garbage plant believe it or not. it will still smell bad and produce garbage fruit as well.
so there is extra incentive to clean up the trash.
About the spoiler tag part: eek!
Overall this pack seems a bit too "real..." Lol
