For sims you don't really know and have no intention of actually knowing more even though you gained a little on the green bar, you can simply delete the relationship and save yourself some bother. Click your sim > MCCC > relationships > delete relationship > click the sim(s) that you don't want on your list.
You can cheat emotional buffs from MCCC as well. clock your sim > MCCC > MC Cheats > cheat sim info > mood/buff control > cheat emotion intensity > cheat the emotion you want and how high you want it to go (example: playful, very playful, hysterical). you gain a fairly large boost in emotional moodlet points to trigger each emotional state and a very long duration in the order of weeks.
another alternative outside modifications are emotion potions. if you got enough reward points you can get one from the reward store to get a +100 buff in your emotion of choice for a short number of hours. however the sadness emotional buff will assert itself if you haven't built up other buffs on the same emotion to keep it away, so consider finding ways to keep a specific positive emotion going when the potion wears off. for example confidence potion > high level painter skill > paint masterpieces and excellent! quality works to get some good buffs going that can keep the sadness away for most of a day.
if you are a celebrity with CelebuSereum active from the fame window, you get mailed some of these and they are exactly like the reward potions above, only with a different name and you don't waste reward points on them. same duration in game hours and +100 points buff.
can't think of anything else at the moment aside from working the sadness out and looking for tell tale signs your sim wants to be cheered up (autonomous mischief socials while sad for example), this can help remove the sadness if there is a long enough duration left.
i'm looking for a long term resolution, not micro manage.
hmm. i haven't much issue using these for long term and it isn't much in the way of micro manage as i'm usually careful about the way i get my sims into these sort of things.
it seems my bad, i had half assumed that you'd have figured out a way to adjust your play style so you could make the most of it.
I'll look into other mods and see if there is a way to give you long term options.
just share ur relevant experience and something useful u awared of.
tq
i did share what i thought was relevant, but clearly you were aware of it. I haven't seen anyone else posting to try offer helpful hints the past week, it might have helped to find another point of view i hadn't considered that i could research on, something connected to it.
