Cannot Start Sims 4 on Steam?? HELP!

I'm getting the following message when I attempt to play my game, which worked just fine last night...

Same here and I logged off less than an hour ago, must be a server side issue that just popped up. Came here to see if it was only me, now going to wait a little now before trying to log back in I guess.

I'm having the same problem. Same exact error message, but with Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Me as well. i noticed I was logged out of origin so I tried that- no change

Researching and it appears this isn't the first time this has happened.
1. Steam is working fine, it's the Origin server that's malfunctioning.
2. You should still be able to play your games, but you'll need to go to offline mode.
(so only single player)
3. For those who don't know how, go to "Steam" in the upper left corner, select "Go Offline..." and restart Steam in offline mode to play your games.
4. When the Origin server is fixed (who knows when that'll be?) we can all resume playing games in online mode (same steps as before).

same..i even tried to launch origin in offline mode and still the same

Just to reiterate, I got my game to work by first going to offline mode on Steam. Once offline on Steam, I was then able to open my game at which point it automatically prompted for me to login to Origin in offline mode too. Hope this works for you all as it worked for me.
