Sim stuck, action bar useless...

My sim just stood in one place and starved to death. This happend one day when I had woken the sim and the bed/sleep symbol with the X over it stuck in the action bar and after that the sim ceased taking care of him self until it starved to death. First thing that happend were that the sim would not go to work. After that I noticed the sim would just stand in one spot and wet itself. It would not go to the bathroom, nor do any of the other need things.
It would walk from one place to another, if I clicked the ground. And it would respond to other sims if those sims started a conversation with it. Anything else, just was not possible anymore.

Pause the game, allow it to process. There are mods that improves the situation, but cannot remember the names.

install the mccc mod. this game has tons of bugs, devs no longer bother fixing them.
that mod is the resolution, u can use the "reset sim" to resolve that bug.

Okay, thank You TheDiaz and kelmenwong, for Your help. I will try the mccc mod right away!

Edit: There is a problem with getting that mod. Steam do not have a workshop tab for this game, so nowhere to get it. Hope Sims get a workshop page soon.

You only need to create a mod folder where the Sims 4 one is in your documents.

That last one is how to install mods. They are nothing more than copy and paste a file on a folder. No need for workshop since The Sims 1.

hold shift left click sim select reset that should debug your sim and get him back to working normally, if that doesnt work sometimes closing and reopening the game will fix it

i recommend downloading UI cheats it will allow you to drag your need bars up and down so if your sim is hungry but you cant get it to eat before it dies you can drag the hunger bar up to save it

A good reason to use "Save As" frequently. Then, you can just load a previous save (losing a little progress) and continue.
