Won't connect to Origin?
I'm hitting play through steam, takes me to Origin, I log in with my account and it tells me I need to register my code for Sims 4. Then it fails and won't let me play. Anyone experienced this?

I contacted EA and these are some of the replies I got from them:

"I checked with our team in this case and I see that our team currently there is some on-going issue with verifying the game from Steam platform our team is working on this issue for the fix."

"... since the workaround did not fix the issue, we request you to wait for our team to complete the investigation and fix it."

"As soon as the issue gets fixed you should be able to access the game without any error."

I'm also still having the same issue, though now, instead of asking me to enter an activation code, it just takes me to my Origin account. I can't start the game from there, as I purchased it though Steam, but Steam just keeps directing me to Origin.
This is ridiculous.

can somebody help me?i can't put my mods back in the game (i tried 20 times) and i can't see the sims an the builds in the gallery (i only see an x).This happened after the last Hispanic update. :( Can somebody help me?EA messed up ://

Same problem since last friday and they have been saying theyre aware of the problem but I dont feel like theyre actively trying to fix it.
now I'm getting the message, "The Origin store is currently disabled because it was launched from another application. Restart Origin to access the store" when I press play on Steam. I haven't been able to play since last week

i think i restarted origin more than hundred times F ea
the error has switched from asking the activation code to disabled due to the launch from a different app, now it takes ma back to steam and when i hit play it just does nothing at all!
do you guys know something about EA ???

Helped me - if it's the Steam Version, deinstall your key file and reinstall once again

How to deinstall the key file? I reinstalled the game and it didn't help.

I had the same issue, but didn't uninstall my game. Go to your Extra Content (in TS4), search the Key & unmark it (deinstalls key). Perhaps you have to start it once w/o. After that you mark it again
