The Sims™ 4

The Sims™ 4

How to open game without Origin
Looking to be able to launch the game through steam (maybe even in offline mode) without origin opening or perhaps not being installed.
Anyone know?

you can't, Origin going to need to open. It's honestly not so bad since they made a light version of origin.
as poster above said you cannot run sims 4 without running origin (unless you pirate the game) however you can run origin in offline mode

origin is no different then any other launcher so jump off the bandwagon and go download it

Not a matter of being on a bandwagon. People shouldn't be required to use multiple launchers for 1 game. Not to mention, a single player game shouldn't require a launcher at all.

Nor should a single-player game require access to the internet...

you don't have to use multiple launchers, you get to use just Origin? :D the sale is on origin as well don't worry.

Forgot to mention that as well.

The game is being sold on Steam as well, meaning it will require both if bought here. What's the point of even bothering to release on Steam if you're going to bog it down with junk before people can even buy it. Even if I bought it on Origin, it's still a launcher for a single player game. And quite honestly, for me, it would be a launcher just to play this one game.
I don't understand why so many people hate Origin. I've been using it for over a decade and never had a single problem.

Because Steam already serves as a game launcher. It's incredibly frustrating to have launcher running within another launcher (both with separate accounts) and only then starting your games. Well EA could at least just use Steam ID as identifier or even not use any authentication for single player game.
oh yes, just let me cast my steam library aside and download origin so I can then pay them $500 for the games DLC.

Not true. A NO-DRM patch can be used to load the game without Origin.

You have to crack your game. The crack will bypass the process in which launching the game causes Origin to launch also. A crack is a good way to improve game performance because the game will no longer be reliant on a 3'rd party program to be running in the backround, sucking up your system resources. Allow me to be very clear on this, so that there is no confusion. PC game cracks, No-DRM patches, and No-DVD cracks are not intended for piracy. They are intended for improve gaming performance ONLY! I do NOT condone piracy in any way, shape, or form.
