Game wont install

So the game will download fine. Then it starts this first time download process and starts downloading this thing called origin, then a popup for that comes up but its completely blank. And thats when it stops. It doesnt do anything else. I installed origin on my computer and the same problem persists. I dont wanna get a refund, help!

In my case, I solved it by reinstalling everything and accepting the download from steam from the origin. After that, I skipped the little white window, wait and it worked, just in case, check your antivirus, which in some cases gives errors. I hope it is solved and good luck

1 unistal all sims 4 and origin
2 instal sim4
3 launch and accept steam downloads
4 wait fishins origin instalation
5 in cas of sims 4 not launch (relaunch sims 4)

put on google "origin download" origin store website will open. you will need to do a origin account if you dont have one (dont worry is free. but remember the credentials since it will be perma linked to your sims 4 game) download the origin installer. install then open it with your username and origin password. the game will bind to origin and the selected account forever. origin must be running at the same time that steam runs it. sims 4 actually runs by origin even that steam works as a pretty mask to hide hideous origin launcher.

I tired, but if I try to launch the game it launches for 2 seconds then stops. Probably because the installation didn’t finish

as i said, install MANUALLY origin from the website. ONCE origin is up and running, try to start the game. sims 4 needs origin to boot. or else it wont.

Disappointing. They already have Steam DRM. I don't want a second launcher thing running on my machine.
I guess I will wait for Sims 4 to be old enough to hit GOG.com.

will never reach GOG.com since EA was clear that never ever the game will run without origin.
you can just keep origin on the backround and ignore it.
in a few years when sims 5 its out maybe they put sims 4 + all the DLC's for free as an EA play game collection. they have sims 3 + some (not all) expansions already. btw sims 3 from origin also needs origin to boot up.
