If I have this game in Origin, can I just buy the DLC from steam?

You need the base game on Steam to play it through steam but afterwards it doesn't matter on which platform you buy the DLC's...or at least it doesn't matter for me...DLC bought on origin still works, and so do the DLC's I bought via steam.

when i run the game from steam it says game not complete when load up a save if not have dlcs on orgin instead of steam.

yea i would like to know too. Because apparently u can do that for Sims 3 where ppl buy the DLCs on steam and use the product key on Origin. I wonder if u can do this for Sims 4 too :/

No, you need to buy the basegame on Steam, delete Origin from your pc and have it be re-installed again after Starting Sims 4 on Steam. It will connect Steam with your Origin and add all the DLC's you had on it to Steam.

This wasn’t my experience. Origin will install the Sims DLC in the Steam copy of the game on its own after you launch the Steam copy. I didn’t need to delete Origin at all.

Edit: Okay I see why you would delete the Origin copy if you only want the one version on your PC.

You won’t need to do it otherwise though.
