The Sims™ 4

Moving from Origin to Steam
Finally, an escape from the clutches of Origin but then EA still ♥♥♥♥♥ us.

They promised me full access to my game library and even gave a handy simple guide on how to do it. However, this joy lasts for a short time as I realised an issue that I need to purchase a new copy of the base game for a fee.

I do it, because I am a shill for the Sims who has eaten from their hands since I was 8 years old. Yet, then EA rears its ugly head again through Steam, I must not only purchase the game but reinstall it all. No no no this cannot be right. I have the whole game, all its DLC's and Mods and CC's to transfer, give me an option to show a folder to launch from or something.

Again, I am shill. So I downloaded it again. I noticed that Origin had accepted my Stream account and that it was strangely re-downloading the game pack for Eco-living. I think this is apart of the sharing process and assume it will do it for the other game packs, stuff packs and expansions.

No.

No, it did not.

Warning to all who are also Shills and may do the same thing. Do not do it at all or for more realistic advice get your refund now.

I didn't even have to move anything and it worked for me. My mods, saves and everything are still in the original folder where they've been since I installed The Sims 4 years ago but my game is launched using Steam. I know origin runs in the background but bc I don't see it IDC.

I recently bought Sims4 through Steam, and I installed it...but when I tried to play it, I got a message saying I need an Origin account. I said "to heck with this nonesense" and unistalled it. Ive had bad experiences with Origin in the past so I closed that account. Now I need to set up an Origin account again for a game I bought on Steam?!?! Forget that BS!!!
