How do i change resolution?

My 3090ti gets up to 91°C in this game even when i set the details and stuff to medium.

The games sets automatically 5440*1440 on my 49" samsung oddysey widescreen.
To get lower temps i wanted to lower the resolution but the game wont let me.
The drop down menu is greyed out and when i choose "automatic detection" it sets the highest resolution and all other to "epic".

What to do ?

choose window mode first then change and switch back
