They would not be knows a Android in Canada !
however, what this plot convenience did do was lay up one of the most tense and masterful scenes of the game (in my opinion) - queuing for Canadian border control. if your play through does take you in the direction where you get to experience this scene, its fantastic.
They had temperature sensors at the Canadian border which is a good sign that they know how to find androids.
It was definitely the most interesting Kara level for me. On my first playthrough I got killed fleeing Jericho so I was on edge wondering how Kara was going to actually get through customs.
You wouldn't know this is a spoiler unless you played it. And even then it's more about the journey than the destination, which is why the game ends as soon as you actually get to Canada.
