Camera spinning uncontrollably
Hey,
Just got this game. As soon as I touch the right stick the camera starts spinning. I've tried with the pro controller for the Switch as well as a PS4 controller with and without DS4 tool active but nothing seems to be working. Anyone know a fix for this? I've googled but can't find any answers. I've also tried restarting steam etcetc. It works with K+M but that's unfortunately not an option since me and a friend of mine were supposed to couch play.

I've never experienced this, used several Xbox One controllers both on here and on Epic. Have you checked under Steam > Settings > Controller and also if using Windows 10 the controller settings on there to make sure everything is set to normal

I managed to fix it. For me I had to disable a specific controller in the device manager. I think it was called vcon controller or something like that which I assume is there because of the dolphin emulator I use. Something worth looking into, everything worked after that!

Yes. I'm using controllers on steam all the time without any problems before this occured. Had nothing to do with settings or anything like that in the end!

Nps!
Ah, then it's very likely it works out for you as well when disabling it. :)

hi there! I know Im late for this discussion but I also have this spinning issue on my PS4 controller when I play Detroit. Could you please give me more specific intructions on how u fixed it?

I can't recall exactly the steps, but if you go to device manager -> human interface devices you can see a list of controllers. If you're a gamecube controller user you should disable "vcon controller". If not, there's probably another device messing things up

Anyone still having this problem needs to download "Hidhide". https://kanuan.github.io/DS4WSite/guides/solving-double-input/
Followed this guide yesterday & can now play the game without the controller spinning.

I just had this issue. I do not have the Dolphin emulator, so that was not the cause. What solved it for me was disconnecting my fightstick that I only use for certain games. However I had never had an issue just leaving it connected. As soon as I disconnected it, the game paused automatically and when resuming, the spinning was gone.

Yeah same for me, I tried all other complicated solutions, while all I had to do was disconnect the ps5 controller I had on my PC. Maybe the game gets confused, when you have more than one controller connected at a time
