Left Click on mouse/ Interacting not working in game

I've literally just started the game and it wont let me interact with the family portrait or fish on the floor. I know my mouse works as its new and I've just tested it on other games. My right click is working but left click just wont work. I've taken 4 steps in the game and I dont want this to effect my game play. Help pls :(

If you see a circle with a line in it, you need to move the mouse towards the line, this could be left, right, up or down, depending on the direction of the 'line' in the circle, while pressing the left mouse button. It took me a while to figure it out.

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with the game's controls.

Please note that generally, the interactions with the environment objects are done by holding the Left mouse button and then moving the mouse in the direction/pattern shown on the screen.

If you are still experiencing issues with it, please share a short video recording of the interaction and your mouse/keyboard inputs.
