One of the achievements requires 8 specific things to happen in a single playthrough of one of the character's story. While there are 30+ opportunities, only 10 can be accomplished in a single playthrough. They're also all rather easy to miss. This is one that needs to start very, very early in the character's story.
A few cheevo-specific content require failures in choices or QTEs.
There are changes in the found magazines that count towards one achievement that, likewise require different choices and different successes and failures to pick up. (All but one magazine has two "covers" that must be viewed to count.)
There's also 100% of each chapter that will require many rewinds and replays. Some opportunities rely on things that happened in earlier chapters (including chapters of another character). (In one case, it happens in the same chapter between different characters.) 100%ing every chapter doesn't come with a cheevo. That's just for your own pride and amusement.
Cheers. I know the I'll Be Back achievement requires its own playthrough, as well as the collectible magazines. Which exact achievement are you talking about regarding the 8-strand option? I was especially thinking about easy achievements as the pacifist/violent riot, shooting the Traci's or not. For example, I replayed two chapters briefly to get the achievement of Markus enduring Leo pushing him, and I made the deviant confess to Connor (which I hadn't done in my original playthrough). 100%'ing each chapter will be something I'll perhaps do over time. I think I've just got to restart my playthrough and make completely different choices, trying to get most achievements on the go.
Great to hear your experience! Then you're going for the exact same approach I'm thinking of going for. The short achievements that do not necessarily need to affect your whole storyline you can do in chapter replay - which saves you time. I really do need to look into the magazine collectibles. Most of the time I picked them up, just because I knew they'd show up in the flowchart - not being aware that it was an achievement. Under 30 hours is a very reasonable time. I suppose I also may need to take a bit of a break before replaying the whole game! Perhaps I'll 100% the chapters at some point, just not now. Thanks for your insights!
