[SOLVED] I can't unlock a node in Battle for Detroit

So, in the section "Kara leaving Detroit", right at the start there's a node called "Watch broadcast about Jericho's attack". There's supposed to be a tv in a shop window where you can watch it. In my playthrough, Jericho was attacked like normal, but the TV is turned off. I don't wanna waste time testing what path unlocks it so help would be appreciated.
P.S. I found out what it is. In order for the TV to appear, Jericho must have been raided, but ALSO Connor has to remain a machine. All the guides on the web fail to mention it.

yeah i tested it out without blowing it up and it still doesn't work

i know this is kinda weird but im gonna test out not blowing it up while saving Lither in crossroads
