[Solved] When replaying a prior chapter when character dies, how do their future chapters unlock? [No Spoilers]
I played a chapter, let's call it chapter "X", and ended up letting a character get killed.

After playing through additional chapters (to chapter "Y") with that character dead, I replayed chapter X and made sure they lived. No additional chapters unlocked at the time. Then I jumped ahead resuming my progress at chapter Y, playing all the way through.

I later learned online that this character has a bunch of chapters that were never revealed after I made sure they lived.

So this leaves me with a few of questions:
+If I replay a chapter X and ensure a character lives, will their additional chapters only be visible/revealed on the timeline after I replay enough chapters (X+1, X+2, etc.) until their unlocked chapter would naturally occur?
+Am I correct in assuming that if I want any effects of chapter X to show up in chapter Y, then I need to play all chapters in-between from X to Y to make that happen?

As said above, you need to save the changes ("Yes" to saving) and you need to continue to play the next chapters in order for your changes to be included in the later chapters.

There is a great guide explaining how the saving mechanics work in this game. I suggest you to read it:

If you want to change something, you have to continue playing from the point you wanted to change.

When you replay a chapter to change the outcome, you need to say yes to saving changes and go through the chapters again in order. You can't skip ahead to see the effects of what you did.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
