So you have a Laptop
And second (dont need to change drivers): "go to Steam folder > search file SteamOverlayVulkanLayer64.json > open it > change 2 parameters

all. Save changes amd start the game.

Run in minimal system ... try that , do you have enough space to run it . Terminate short down anything you don't need. Decade your machine to run little process . All extra USB you have able ... I say stop what you do no need . I do hope there is no virus on you am laptop .
The second method does not work. I was deleting that file before, I was just trying to see if I can get the Overlay working so I can take screenshots.
