Black screen after a few minutes of playing
Hi!

First time playing and I've ran into an issue. The game ran okayish with lots of stuttering and lagging, but I was able to give it a pass regardless after lowing my settings.

However, I've now reached Kara's part and I've been having a black screen issue which covers the entire screen and won't go away.

I have tried:

- Reinstalling drivers
- Putting on the lowest settings possible
- Putting in fullscreen
- Running as administrator

I'm kinda sad about this honestly. I absolutely enjoyed Heavy Rain and wanted to give this a shot... Guess not for now :( Would appreciate the help :)

I've just been playing through this for the first time and I can reliably reproduce this issue on my AMD 5700XT with 21.6.2 drivers by lowering the resolution scale in the game.

I have a 4k desktop and typically run games at 1440p so for this game I have to set the in game resolution to the 1440p and resolution scale to 100 to not black screen.

If I set game res to 4k and resolution slider to the lowest 0.70, which equates to about 1512p I get a the mostly black screen after a while, which effectively soft locks the game.

4k with lower res scale looks better as the menu and post processing seem to work at the native res so it looks better.

Posting this in AMD bug report tool too.

Try running game in same resolution as desktop and running without resolution scaling (1.0)

I tried it but didn't work at all. My notebook screen resolution is 1080p (full hd) and I set the resolution to 1080p and the res scale to 1.00 and it didn't work. I also tried the other ways. Do you know what else to do?

years later, having the same issue still...lovely

yeah the comment from above seems to hold true, trying to downscale it is what causes the issue. keep it at 1.0 and it works
