The reason HDR does not work in the final game is that it's missing DXGI_Helper.dll file that is present in demo build. From what i can see the only purpose of this file is to check if Windows supports HDR and it's enabled in system settings which in turn will allow the game to render in HDR.

File from demo version -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VcQSt4kxYauTxg8Pd-BTWFP3ugP1i8-Z/view?usp=sharing
So, basically put this file in the final build install folder, toggle HDR on in Windows 10 display settings and make sure that GraphicsOptions.JSON has HDR set to true and make game run in fullscreen on your main HDR display( might not be required )
I tried to play for a bit with it and it seems to work fine even after demo level.
If they took it out deliberately, then you best not mention your discovery to them.
HDR ... I do not want it .
Please read all about it anywhere like youtube ect .
Do not take only one person 's view ... use reason .
GF Experience HDR capture i tried to do is a bit oversaturated( probably because of a weird Vulkan + DirectX setup this game uses under the hood ) so won't be representative in how it actually looks.

Obviously need to be downloaded and viewed with HDR + WCG Image Viewer (maybe there is something else that displays HDR images correctly, i dunno ) -> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hdr-wcg-image-viewer/9pgn3nwpbwl9?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
