I have an ASUS laptop with a 3070 and get this error. The fix for me is to disable the integrated (AMD Radeon) graphics device driver via the Device Manager. Someone shared this workaround elsewhere.

I had same issue it's fault of amd igpu, but it's easy to fix.

If you can't open link heres how to do it :
a. Press the Windows key on your keyboard to bring up the Windows search
b. Type "Advanced System Settings" to bring up the Advanced System Settings app.
c. This will bring up the Advanced tab inside of the System Properties.
d. From the System variables section, select the "New.." button. Fill in the field Variable name: with the text “DISABLE_LAYER_AMD_SWITCHABLE_GRAPHICS_1” and Variable value: with "1". Then press the OK button.
e. Select OK once more to close the Environment Variables window.

I hope it will help you.

This was the only solution that worked for me, Its like AMD radeon was causing me headaches. This is on a acer nitro 5 laptop. And a Acer predator 17" laptop.

Edit: So i wanted to also address, that after i disabled the AMD Radeon graphics device in device manager, and i launched the game, after it initially launched and started up didn't complete shader, then i reenabled the AMD Radeon graphics device, and rebooted the laptops, this game worked flawlessly with out issue. I have no idea why i had to first disable AMD Radeon driver before it would work, or why the automated switch over failed. But now the game knows which gpu to use when i launch the game. Just weird i had to do that step. FYI to anyone else with this issue.
