Worked for me. On 13900 I selected the first half of the cores (threads actually). Supposedly the P-cores only.
For the lazy:
- launch Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc)
- go to the Details tab, scroll to the letter D
- without closing Task Manager, launch the game
- once the game starts, Alt+Tab to Task Manager
- right-click DetroitBecomeHuman.exe
- select "Set affinity"
- uncheck "All Processors" and check only the first few "CPU N" (e.g. half of what you have or less)
This should prevent errors from happening during shader compilation.
IMPORTANT: once the process exits (you close the game), the affinity is reset and next time you start the game, it will use all cores again.
And peanuts.
