Did this help anyone else? If not, then I'll delete this topic.

This actually helped me. I was stuck in a specific spot in the story where the game kept freezing. Kudos to you OP. :BL3Thumbsup:

I just wanted to chime again. While this process does work, you have to set the affinity every time you launch the game which can get tedious. The best way to resolve this (if you have an NVIDIA card, is to install the 446.14 drivers. The newest drivers seem to be causing issues.

I mentioned weeks ago that I tired 3 different Drivers (including 446.14), and nothing changed. Limiting the CPUs is the only thing that helped.

No this didn't work for me.

I have a Asus TUF FX505DT with Ryzen 5 3550H and GTX 1650 4GB, RAM 32GB, game installed on a fast SSD and I was still experiencing very annoying stutters. I had major crashes until I updated my GPU driver to 457.09 and the game now starts and works nicely, but the stuttering is now happening and it's VERY annoying. The game is almost unplayable because of that. Anyway, I noticed that my CPU usage was really high and it was often hitting 90+ percent and those moments coincided with the stuttering I was experiencing, so I went to the video settings and used the default Medium overall setting and started playing with the options to find out if any individual setting was going to lower the CPU usage to an acceptable level. What I've found is that lowering the Texture detail to LOW would tame down the CPU usage significantly and the game was 99% stutter free now! :) The textures, actually, still look good.
So, let's wait if the developers will pull more aces up their sleeves and optimize this amazing game for PC a little better.

@Cicko Thanks for the tip about low textures! It solved my issues and now the game runs mucht better. I've never experienced a game like this where the texture quality affects the CPU performance so much and not just the VRAM usage.

Did not work for me either. The game ran for 20 minutes and I was getting excited and then it FROZE again. This problem is ridiculous. I expect the devs are washing their hands of this and nothing will be done.

I read this comment somewhere:

"I was constantly getting Driver crashes, game freezes and BSOD especially starting from JERICHO Mission. Here's what fixed my crashes and now I have completed the game:

1. Install Vulkan Runtime[vulkan-runtime (1.2.141.0)] and SDK[VulkanSDK-1.2.141.2-Installer] for just in case.
2. Delete Files inside 'ShaderCache' Folder in Game Directory and then Run the game as admin. First run will take some time and may crash after sometime. If it happens, Run the game again.
3. Set Game Settings to Medium, in-game 30 FPS Lock. If required set Resolution Scale to 0.80 (Preferably lower than native 1080p).
4. Run Game in Windowed Borderless.
5. Do not use Nvidia Control Panel FXAA, MFAA or Sharpening.
6. Do not use MSI Afterburner and RTSS (not even to limit FPS; use in-game 30 FPS Cap).

There is no need to install Vulkan, Vulkan 1.2 is already integrated in the Nvidia drivers. If you are still getting problems then do DDU in safe mode and remove your Nvidia driver and try another version and repeat the steps."
